BUILDING GRAND STRATEGY WITH INDIAN CHARACTERISTICS FOR REBOUNDING INDIA
Niraj Kumar

ABSTRACT
This paper is an initial attempt to formulate a Grand Strategy for India by fusing the concepts taken from Kautilya’s Arthashatra and Sriyantra, the epitome of India’s triadic thought-structure. American grand strategy is symbolized by the image of spread-wing eagle and that of China by the Yin-Yang symbol. Sriyantra as a symbol for Indian grand strategy can complement these two symbols. Only by formulating appropriate grand strategy, India’s national interest can be realized.
